Todays $1 flea market super tinker

Call me a Hiker liker. I frequently carry one at work mostly for the small blade. I like how its girth & the back side Philips makes for an easy feel in the hand, & the saw is handy sometimes, too.
The backside awl and philips driver are something I've just never really liked.
I have always found the T handle orientation to rarely be what I want.
I only like t handles on longer shanked tools so I can spin a fastener in or out.

Agree about the backside awl. My alox Soldier normally takes care of awl requirements at work, quite literally & punfully. Said awl, if kept sharp, also works as a blade for opening taped boxes & for cutting string & stuff like it.

Also agree about the backside Phillips. If you aren't faced with a recessed screw it's an arse to use, much as the backside awl is for drilling & reaming holes. I choose SAKs with the back Phillips for handling comfort only.

The can opener tip works very well for Phillips screws. Given too much torque the tip will twist not the liners, as can happen with the back driver.
