Todays arrivals.

Night pictures are always crappy because I don't have a light box. But here's the new one.

It's one solid knife in the hand. Great balance and lines.

Great pic! Does feel great in the hand...
Does it fit the spec ops sheath???

TK, the balance point is right behind the first tube fastener...
right at the most shallow point where your index finger slips naturally into.

It fits the sheath pretty well. I just need to cut a notch out on one side of the slip to accomodate the guard a little better. Similar to what I did on the sheath for my CG version:

I have to echo some of the thoughts above about this knife. I've handled a few and this one is sweet. I would imagine that it would give you the same stout feel in the hand like a SHBA would. I think it could hold its own to do some chopping.

That's a pretty good comparison. I once owned a SHBA before it went to live at the SHBA ranch.

However, if Mulder handles one of these, the Badger black hole may start growing by leaps and bounds.

I don't think his pockets are deep enough to suck all these BATAC LEs into a void :-)

Is that a big scratch across the top of the blade? Whats the inspector # on that one?

You've got good eyes. It does look like someone was drinking too much scotch at the grinder. I've been pondering whether to keep it with it's 'character marks'.... or send it back for a touch up. It's only visible when the light hits it just right. I'm also factoring in whether I make it a user. Either way, I know the shop would attend to it without question if I decide to send her back.

If you make it a user then that scratch won't matter. I am sure most of us saw the scratch but just didn't want to burst your bubbles ;)

Yep. I have some kydex scratches that are probably worse than that.

Yeah that scratch should be very light because it came from a scotchbrite type wheel that they use to put the satin finish on. The person polishing probably caught the edge of the wheel. Or it may be from a stray abrasive fiber that got loose from the wheel.

You've got it right. If you don't like the dotted line, send it in and I'll bet the Shop crew will clean it up.

If it's going to be a user though, just beat the snot out of it.

Waitaminute... you're gonna use number 2 ??? :D

Are you saying that I should refrain from buying one of these to save me from myself??????
If that's the case then I better throw back the SE version I got in the ganza before Amy ships it. :foot:
I didn't order any directly from Busse because I didn't care for the handle on the SJTAC's and these have the same handle.

piglet
