Looks like you and your handsome son had a good time

Brings back memories when my 12 year old son was your son's age

Thanks for posting

Looks like time well spent. I was stationed in Kentucky for a while. Its beautiful country.

Great pics. What are the stacked rocks? It looks like part of an old cabin chimney.

Looks warm there. Must be nice. I like those walking sticks. Did you make them? Any way to take larger pics of them?

It looks like you and your son had a great day, thanks for sharing:thumbup:

MBlackFu,

Cool pics, what is the stone structure? It took me a while to figure the photobucket thing too. Don't add the pics as attachments, simply open a new thread and click on the image option beneath your pictures in photobicket and paste them into your thread or reply, they will appear as text until you click the post or preview tab...

MBF,

Great pics. Like everyone else love to hear the story on the stone thing. I'll guess that it is some sort of cellar or a really old coke oven?

Good on you for gettin' you son into the outdoors. My Dad used to take us hiking all the time when I was a kid:thumbup:

Good on ya! Getting out in the woods with your son (or daughter) is one of the great times of life. My son now 25, still talks about woods walking with Dad when he was a kid.
Best,
FF

That little guy did 4 miles - that's pretty impressive.

I can't get my "non-weight-bearing units" to hike a mile. Girls no less.

You should be proud of him. :)

That what I was thinking! That's always quality time well spent...I really like the hiking sticks; thanks for sharing!

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I am betting on the stone being an old chimney or campsite. Gene

The knives i took were a mora , a schrade camo folder, and a schrade outdoor life fixed blade. the stone stucture is a guess for me too. it looked like some sort of stone oven . my son has really gotten the feel of hiking . we went on a 4 mile hike and he did it all except for the last half mile ( i had to carry him). i am so glad the most of the outdoors is free.
