todays hike part 1

thanks for the pics - though i do wish they were bigger!

i wonder about that chimney too - maybe there was some iron ore around those parts back in the day and it was used to burn the impurities out of it. or maybe just an old homestead. i've seen old homestead spots in some crazy places. when you look around them you can usually identify where their old garden plots were.
 
I like that footpath through the woods shot. Reminds me of the piney woods region of east Texas where my Dad grew up. He used to take my brother and I squirrel hunting there when we were kids. Those excursions made for some of the best memories I have. I'm sure your son will remember fondly those treks with Dad. Good show! :thumbup:
