Man o' man I have been blessed with some fatastic weather lately. I love Spring. No bugs yet, the amphibians are getting more and more active, the woods are alive with the singing of birds, and wild flowers are blooming. Its a great time of year.

Today was 75 degrees ith a 20mph breeze from the west. I couldnt ask for a better dy to take a walk in the woods. I just took a leisurly stroll about 5 miles round trip. Not even to practice skills, just to take in some of the sunshine and fresh sights and smells of Spring. Of course I packed in WAAAY to much steel, but, thats what I do sometimes. ;)

Heres some pics of this awesome day...

Blue sky...

I packed alot of blades with me, but his is the one that was on the belt. This sheath is one of the most comfortable, and innovative Ive ever used.

I nabbed my wifes Brusletto to snap some pics of. My wife loves this knife. Its great for her too, because it was easy to teach her to sharpen, and is the perfect size for her. Spooky gifted it to me awhile back. I like it alt, but she fell in love with it, so...

Another couple weeks, and the Morels will be up!!!! I cant wait. Thats good eating. I have a 45lb spoonbill in my freezer from this weekend that will be a tasty partner to em...:)

Great pics Jake. I've been packing too many blades lately too. Seems that I get a bunch of new ones right before spring, and I'm itching to play with all of them! That shoulder bag is nice too.

Thanks man, Timbuk2 stuff is bomber gear to the max. Its just as tough as maxpedition, if not tougher!!!

Good stuff, brother!

I recognize one of those blades...;):D

I hope to get out a little on my "vacation" this week as well. Thanks for sharing the pics, it looks great.

It's nice to be a bit reconnected here and a little disconnected from work.

Looks like you had a wonderful day out there! Looks like the spring finally hit, all the green starting to pop up.

That knife does look translucent ... must be some new supersteel :D

Man its gettin close! Not too long and we will be out there huh?

Ha! Yeah, I even left the machetes in the car!!!

J,

I'm jealous! It hasn't been above freezing today and its going down to 15 F tonight, I'm still running the woodstove... What is the cool blade on the horizontal rig?

looks like a great time! glad you are getting some good weather. nice blades too, especially the scandi. am also liking the becker; in spite of the fact that they arent even close to the knives i typically go for, i have been tempted to buy them.

Great pics Jake! That Brusletto does look transparent, cool stuff!!!!!

I am jealous of your weather...

Spring is definitely getting here, just had our first tornado warning this afternoon. The storm was short and quick, but the folks east of here might have to duck for it. Good to see some green again. The trees are budding around here, and early flowers are sprouting.

I think thats the front we have moving in..... am hearing tornadic activity is possible..
