Todd Davidson Custom Lanny's designed by yours truly

The knife is beautiful indeed...but it's even better because it came out of a joint venture between the customer and the maker. That is the added value of knives made to custom specs and requirements. I have been down that road and I know how it feels, so congratulations.
As a sidenote, I also think your knife is quite far from a LC. Eventually this thread could be merged into the Todd Davison thread here in the traditional subforum, or just stay as a standalone thread.
As a second sidenote, I think Todd's striped handles are one of the most recognizable features I've seen in custom slipjoints, and that surely is a plus :)

Took the words out of my mouth. Well said.

I love it. If I saw it sitting on a table at a show I wouldn't call it a Lanny's, but that doesn't detract from the knife at all. It's got a little barlow, a little dogleg, and a little trapper to it. I love it!! I say barlow because the stripes look like an extension of the bolster to me. The blue really sets everything off nicely.

Most of Todd's knives look very similar to each other to me. When I see a Todd Davison knife I know it immediately, and when he posts a new one it looks very much like most of his others to me. That's not a knock at all, as they're all beautiful. I really like that this one looks very distinctive though. It's a great looking knife, and one that you should be proud to have been a part of creating and proud of owning. Kudos to both you and Todd.

- great stuff

Refreshingly different and lovely work from Todd, as usual..!

ahbiv,
Your knife turned out extremely nice, I really like the combination
of the brown micarta and the stainless/blue stripes. I think it is
Handsome, Classy, and Cool. The blade looks great and works
very well with the shape of the handle. I wouldn't mind seeing
a few more photos after You receive it.

Thanks. More photos for sure [emoji106]

Gorgeous knife! Kudos to you both on the design. Does the little dot in the center blue stripe have a special meaning or is it simply a unique touch? Either way, I like it.

That is a pin for the scales, Todd pins all that together, never going to fall apart.:)

There are other pins inside going length wise. He told me when finishing this knife, he sand through to those, and had to start over.
