Well, I ordered a couple more regrinds from Tom and sent in several others for his "Krein Regrind" stamp, bought a custom from him, and he was nice enough to ship off several of my regrinds for a Blade Forums passaround. In spite of getting really sick, cutting his hand real bad, and running a knife company preparing for Blade Show and competing in a folder build off he always had time for my calls. He puts up with trivial questions and is the greatest guy to talk to and do business with. I have 2 more knives waiting for regrinds and they will be going to his shop soon. I can't recommend Tom Krein, his wonderful custom knives, or his great regrinds enough. If you want great looking, great cutting knives done with superior skill and craftsmanship Tom Krein is the man.

My experience is a little different: I sent 3 e-mails to the guy, 2 about regrinds and one about ordering a custom knife, none were answered.

+1........ Tom is one class dude.:thumbup::thumbup:

Dude, you are doing it wrong ;)

Go to Tom's website http://kreinknives.net/contact.htm and call the man. His cell # is right there for the world. Just FYI the list goes something like this

1) Call Tom on his cell
2) PM Tom here or on USN and he responds in a day or so
3) email, cross fingers and pray ;):D

The reason......Tom is a full time Grinder Monkey and a full time ER nurse. If he ain't grinding steel or saving lives, odds are, he will take your call. All other times leave a message and he really does get back with you in short order. Hope this helps:thumbup:

Not sure how I missed your emails, but would be happy to do some regrind work for you. We can talk about a custom.

Feel free to give me a call or PM me on the forums. Seems like I am not getting the emails.

I try to be pretty easy to get a hold of. If I can't get the phone leave a message and will call you back.

Thanks.... but I am not perfect! Not even close.

I try to keep up with all the PM's, and email's, but don't always get them answered. I do try though and always try to be available on the phone. If you don't get me please don't give up.

THANKS everyone!! You guys and gals make it all work!

Tom

Tom is one of the best all around! The quality of his knives is only surpassed by the quality of his character.

As Tom said phone works best. I have had my e mails go to Spam folders too many times to count, and talking to Tom is like talking to an old buddy anyway. His work is certainly top notch, and I have a few more knives that need to be sent in for a regrind.
