That is a nice looking grind. I have had my Commander since 1999, got it by chance at local police supplier. A local Deputy had orderd her and never come back for her. I kept checking back with the shop owner because I could'nt find one anywhere. After a time he sold her to me and I have used her hard for 9 yrs. As of this morning I have completed a total restoration of this old friend of mine. I mirror polished the sides of the blade (originally black) and left the top and edge grind satin, file worked the liners for extra grip, installed a s/s skull pocket clip, mirrord the pivot and scale screws and put on a pewter skull'd lanyard that has glow in the dark eye's.
Started reworking the edge with my diamond files when I saw your post and just when I thought she was done. I said damn that looks good and now want to send her off for a regrind. "THANK'S" Good looking knife you got there, enjoy.
Man, you gotta post pics of all that work!
Here's a link to pictures of my reworked Commander.
Picture quality is'nt great will post more when skills improve.http://picasaweb.google.com/tugimusmaximus
That. Is. Awesome.
Good work on the knife, the wife and the baby, sir!
Btw, where'd you get that skull clip? I want one.
He re-ground the knife much thinner for better cutting performance, and in the case of my Commander, also ground the normally flat chisel side it came with.
He basically turned a cleaver into a scalpel.

some OTher people know how to make a thread. You get a lot on here with no pics. You've been groomed well.
