That is a Tom Clark hammer. I got it from Tom at the last Scagel hammer-in up in Michigan. Great hammer. Those off set tongs of his are great...I also have an earlier pair of his I think I got when I got the hammer.

It does not look like he still makes them. Looks like i will have to make my own :rolleyes::D;), i will let you know how i fair

JT. Sadly no tom is no longer making hammers or tongs. Tom tongs are still being imported and sold under his name though. Tom passed away about a year ago.
 
I didn't want to say anything cause I wasnt sure. Man, that sucks. He made some cool tools.
I have a couple of his tiny anvils too.:thumbup:

P.S. I am seriously thinking about making some dragon tongs!!!;)
 
I'm with Sam. The 3/4" V-bit bolt tongs (sometimes called goose necks) are an excellent way to go for railroad spikes. We use them all the time with the kids. Build what you just made only bigger. Maybe don't make the jaws quite so long. Here's what a fella sells on eBay that he welds up.
