Tonight we drink to Lil'Foo

I just search through google when I need to find something. Thanks for the links. Will check em now

Only saw one pic, but that's a nice piece of kitchen cutlery. I guess if one wanted to one of those blades these days it'd hafta be a custom piece, huh? Oh well...prolly too rich for my blood anyway.

The prices on the NICKs have gone nuts. All it takes is one guy that is willing to pay $500 for one and then all the sellers will never go below $500.
.

Tony, guess I should send you some wine from here !

"Here" being ... Oz, perhaps? :)

Gotta love those Australian Shirazes.

I'm breaking open my last bottle of Bruichladdich for a toast to The Foo. This is 'the good stuff' -- single malt like liquid gold.

No he is in Italy :D
.

Whoa!!!! That's a whole nother spectrum of tastes...

You can start with the Sangiovese grape, move on to the deeply satisfying Barbera, then perhaps the less well-known Trebbiano or Nebbiolo. So many wonderful, wonderful choices.

If he's 'of a mind,' see if he can find you a few super Tuscans.

Jamie,

Don't drink too much... don't you have a satellite to shoot down tonight?

I have, of course ... no comment. :D

I hear the waves are a little strong in the Pacific. That's kind of like having a turkey almost in your sights and getting busted by a sudden rain storm.

Good shooting to all involved.

Jamie,

What part of Italy is your family from?

My grandfather was from the Udine area, my family has a winery in Friuli, I've really got to get over for a visit sometime !

Well it's looks like you didn't overdo it with the Bruichladdich and calculated that final trajectory without any errors! Congrats to those involved on a perfect shoot-down, sounds like it went without a hitch. (I've still got my HBO so I guess you guys hit the right one :) )

What can I say? American Sailors -- they're the best.

So you've got a little of the old olive oil in you, too, eh??

My family is all over the north. Our local branch is mostly around Genova (Genoa to you Americanis) and especially in Bologna (mostly the countryside -- those big cities are too slicky boy). The roots of my portion of the vast family are pretty rural and agricultural ... and a bit nautical. :)

ADDED: It's good to see that BlackDiamond recognizes a good deal when he finds it. Just remember -- Italian women are both passionate and fiery!!
