Tony’s latest RAT.

The sabre grind on this RC-5 was a lil thick, but still cut well. I however prefer a thinner edge, so I asked Mike to thin it out and convex it.

Tony, I’ve been very impressed by this knife. :cool:

It did cut well as delivered…and only cuts better now.

This is one serious knife for the money. :thumbup:



I might have to pick-up one these for myself… :rolleyes:

Mike, Can you give me a how to on that convexed on the rat, it came out amazing. and did you strop it?

I do 99% of my blade re-profiling on a belt grinder.

I would say it’s the same for 95% of my sharpening.

I do use leather hones (strops with solid backing) with black and green BRK&T compounds to refine the edge, I even strop on bare leather for a super refined edge when needed.
