They were out of the Pocket Rockets which is what I really wanted so I had to settle on a Primus Classic Trail stove as I don't have the time allowance to just order online for tomorrow's hike. Also picked up a few GSI plastic cups. They didn't have the MSR Stowaway pot I wanted, in fact they had no decent hiking/backpacking pots so I will just be using my Klean Kanteen to boil the water in on this trip.

I used to have a pocket rocket and it was so loud I got rid of it. Literally sounded like a rocket taking off :D Let us know how this one works out in the field....

I like the Streamlight 66318 MicroStream C4. Simple on/off switch and uses a single AAA battery. I like the Streamlight 66118 Stylus Pro a little more. Uses two AAA batteries. Has better specs and is about the same price but of course is a little longer and heavier.

Just to clarify: Are you talking about you and the girl or you and your buddy--this greatly affects the advice I give going forward:D
 
Just have to vent a bit. Just saw a status update from BladeHQ on Facebook, stating they have the black kershaw cryo in stock. It's just up, and two guys already comment on the "made in china" thingy. As if that is something totally new? The Cryo has been out for a year... Furthermore, one of the guys has the Great Wall of China as his background on Facebook. The irony is strong in this one. Or he must think it's a really crappy wall, that is probably violating some kind of Western patent, or atleast stealing Western jobs.:yawn: It must be, right? Please let it be a crappy wall. No? Gets me everytime.

Me and my buddy are almost like twins. Not me and the girl.

25-30 years ago I skated A Lucero with Independent trucks, thunder bolts and Slimeball 92a's. I lived in San Francisco and every Sunday we would go to Golden Gate Park and a couple of member's of the Bones Brigade would always be there with a 1/4 pipe. I met Tony Hawk before he was rich and famous.

I would bust my ass these days, I think its pretty cool you still skate. :thumbup:

I didnt realize the pelicans was miramar. I thought it was an older series Arbor. Nice, i dont know much about miramar, im assuming you like 'em though :thumbup:

Lot's of people swear by gumballs, I'm not a big fan though. I usually stick to Otangs, they run the spectrum of options and are great wheels.

I do like me some zigzags and ive got some sector 9 races without a home at the moment.

I'm lookin at paring down my quiver at the moment, I've only got 2 maybe 3 boards i regularly ride. Longboarding is my main mode of transportation, its much quicker and easier downtown, and i've got a couple that i just have no use for these days.
 
Don't know how you guys are getting all the crappy weather, Usually it winds up here.

Sun has been out for the last week here, I'm rolling out the Yaks tomorrow and getting them cleaned up and ordering a different axle setup to stuff under their trailer. The 12" tires suck, I need to add about 20 inches to them.

I do believe I just squee'd.

I wasn't sure I was going to pass the background check on getting a pistol (was in psych ward >5 years ago for some PTSD type stuff.)

However I passed! Picked up my Ruger today, going to get my CCW here soon.

I have a trident 13 and a prowler which is the same thing as far as I can see other than being camo. Going to see if I can get the dog, pug, trained to go fishing without killing us both this year. I should build a side car type outrigger for her.
