There is more to a so called One of Three Hundred(I think about a hundred is more likely) than just the grind.

At the very least there is a heat treat and a hardness difference.

I was Sober once, at least that is what my Mama told me when I was a Little boy, of course I was Asleep at the time and I do not think that it was MY FAULT.

I am down to 3 of the SoCalled One of Three Hundreds, one limited presentation number 350(I think) and a pair of users I get to play with, but I seem to have stopped throwing them.

Edited to add:

I seem to be getting interested in getting another triple ground E-model Mistress, I may make due and just sharpen the top of a ZT Mistress.

First of all is being a "Dork" a "Bad" Thing?

The First Dork fish comments I remember reading were from the WW-II time Period.

Gravel Face, The Smooth Bolt Round Butt SHSHs where normal for all the earlier A-2 knives and I have hear tale of several in INFI but it takes Jerry to certify them.

Even a Few Smooth bolt SHBAs in INFI I Hear, but I never actually saw one.

That's just because I wrote some where about giving INFI to my Relatives.

Now every one wants part of the action.

After you give away the first Dozen or so Busse Knives the pain of giving fades away.

Well maybe the pain just burns away the nerves.

Ok,

Good that you are being safe.

So Far In nine years you are the only one to ask to be taken off of the Free Busse Give away List.

Good for you, Lonely maybe, But good none the less.

i havent received that one yet...

If my Wharnie is #1 i will have to stop beating the crap out of it...lol

i made one wharnie! just for myself,, to see if I could make a knife and heat treat it,, for fun, sent it off to a guy to get kydex made.. he said man, this is cool, i want one or two, i was like ok,, so i ordered a 12" x 12" sheet of A-2 and made seven knives in my first production run, he bought one, cartophlis has one, you have one, the others are scattered. I changed to the edc design.. the pass around knife was made right after and stamped #1.....edc!! so technically, your wharnie is the first knife, i ever made to sell! I took the grind in deep being a nube, by the seventh one i was better, I sent the sheath guy one of the nicer ones!! yours by all rights is #1

Hi, Papa!! Hope all is well with your son ... he hasn't been around in awhile and we miss him.

Oh ... hi also to Jeremy. I'm sure it's very hot in your workshop now. :D

Remember ... we need a LOOOONNGGG sword.

OldPhysics,

Bubba is doing just fine, he tends to be narrow in his focus from my perspective.

So he pays a lot of attention to what ever he is doing at the moment, and at the moment that is not Blade Forums.

So long as he's alright ... we're fine with it.

I imagine he'll wander back around some time. We'll still be here.

Oddly enough, the last government senior I worked for as an AF officer sometimes complained that I was "too focussed" on the work ... that I "dug too deep into the problems and tried to actually solve them." I still get a kick out of that -- he described it as the "only bad thing" he had to say about me. It actually helped me land a very well paid contractor job.:D

As a professional scientist, I don't think of this as a fault -- more like a job requirement. Yes, it still makes me chuckle.
