Now that's what I like to hear.

I'll bet all sorts of nefarious plans and schemes are hatching in your newly-cleared cranium.

And that's good.

What do you guys think of underneath modded G-Rex ? I have the opportunity to trade for it, but I don't know how to feel about a Custom Busse that's been modded

The modding has been done by a renowned British knifemaker, Stu Barker btw.

Has its value gone up or down in your opinion ?

This one started out as a busse custom shop G-rex (modded active duty)

When it came from busse it looked like this. I thought a desert theme would look good.

I stripped of the scales and skeletonised the tang like on the game warden mod i did a while ago. I also drilled out the sclaes on the back side to reduce weight.

The blade has been shot blast with glass beads and the scales are from an old active duty model i modded a while ago.

The new scales are thinner and i find them much more comfy to hold the the originals. Overall weight is now 124g with the balance point a little back from the first pin hole.

Prime user material!

It's a bit of a crap-shoot, Chibbi.

On the good side, it was modded by a recognized knife-maker. On the bad side, well ... it was modded. Some folks won't accept that and some will.

I would say, buy it if you like it, but be aware that the Busse eternal warranty no longer applies to that knife.

FWIW, I think it looks good.

Just like that shbm jungle! A damn warranty won't do you any good if the bastard won't cut hot butter! That shbm was worthless as a user! But, now! I bet she will cut! The infi is strong! That is where the balls to offer a warranty like that lies!! Don't pay too much! No more than a used cg

Cheers for the input, guys. I'll have to think about it some more, I guess. Biggest problem is that I liked the original look far better.:(

You Modify a Knife to either make it work better or to make it look better.

Factory Modifications cost more and often do less.

Take that Jungle SHBM for instance lower resale value than a Standard SHBM and way Tough to use as well.

Most SHSH Variants, lower resale, cept for a few Pretty ones, way to many got made.

SH Badgers it sort of depends, Originals are certainly going up in price faster than Variants.

Me, I take a knife, feel it in my hand and think about what needs done to make it more comfortable.

Dremmel Tool Time, knock off or radius any places that hurt my hand and then maybe a little file work to make the knife easier to hold on to.

Some times just a little top work at the tip to make the knife stab better.

Some times an entire new edge.

Busse or not, I want the knife to fit my hand and to not hurt me while I use it.

Dremmel tools and Busse knives go together just fine.

By the way, the way I do it you will not ever know anything was ever done to the factory knife cept for the file work, Unless I tell you.

Penetrator Tips are common enough now.

Radiusing should have been done at the factory to start with and carried out to a little extreme has lead to new Models of Busse knives called "Melted"

Jason,

Louisiana is not so bad, it even Grows on you if you sit still.

I have read an author that calls Louisiana "Guatemala North" relating to the way you can get away with anything away from town, well that and how easy it can be to run into Bad People any place you happen to be while there.

Easy Gun carry laws, and better to be armed there, But I think that about every place(the Better to be armed part)

Look at my name, Andre DuMouchel, I fit right in there, I'll eat anything Budrou will.

If I ever buy a nice old Busse and then start asking questions and doing research about what I just bought, somebody bitchslap me!;)
