OP is the #1 Ballechin worth looking for?

Hmmm. If you REALLY like heavily peated whiskey ... say a Lagavullin or a Laphroig, anything (pretty much) from Islay ... then it's worth getting a bottle. The Ballechin doesn't have the added iodine taste, which some folks don't like.

Personally, I like the sherried Balvenie better. It's cheaper and easier to find, too. :)

Well some kind of virus got my desktop Dell:grumpy:

I'm strongly considering an Apple as a replacement.... but god they are a lot of money. But then I think that it my be worth the $900 difference to never deal with Windows ever again.:D :D :D
.

I went Mac and never looked back. I'll never buy another Windows based laptop.

The home desktop is still a PC, but that is because of some of the engineering software my wife has to run on it.

I understand that the new ones can run dual operating systems so youcan use windows if you need to. I do need it for work so I'll install the windows software too.

I think I'm going to do it:thumbup:

It will run Windows fairly slowly ... but it SHOULD run it.

Might well be worth it.

But you don't have to worry about that your practically married!

Many times I wish I was 100% single but I like this woman too much. But I do not want to be married and she knows it.

If I did find myself single again I would make a promise to myself to stay that way for at least two years. There is too much of my former 100% single life that I miss and it isn't different woman. It's things like having time to be super fit, or just get on a flight to So. America tomorrow if I want to go fish. I miss the "never ask anyone" freedom.

I was told that the new ones (say less than 18 months old) actually run windows.... not run windows in a window of the Apple operating system.

So I understand they run the software pretty well.

Can't comment on that one with any knowledge, Tony.

I made the jump in terms of both OS and software. However, I only need MS Office, a browser, and some good video/photo/music software. All that stuff runs in OSX just fine.

Sounds like you have a keeper G. You don't have to get married! I'm in the same boat!! I am a nicer person now.

You make a very good point.

And yet, very few of us can can thrive under that condition. Not sure why ... just an observation.

When I think about it, I'm obligated in many ways -- some obvious, some subtle. What would it be like if I didn't have all these obligations? What would I do with that kind of freedom?

Too deep. I think I'll have a drink, instead. :D

I think i make my own freedom with my knives! I just go in and come out with something new! I just did a lot of chasing ass and drinking! Ended up with some lunitics. All sluts have ex's they have pissed off!! And I lived in central america for a year... It's overrated!!! Woooaahh nellie. Lol

I understand that part too, there isn't any choice one can make that isn't a compromise.

Like computers... buy Apple conceed expense. Buy windows and conceed two days a year of my life fixing it.

I have been enlightened that people may not want a horton knife for free! Well my head is up my ass!!

Let's drink!

Surely you jest.

I've already had my permitted drink.

"Not take a Horton knife for free"?? Don't confuse me like that. I'm too "mature" to deal with insanity ...

I said to him that you guys were not real stoked with possibilty of winning a free horton necker made by me for you with love!! He said when people have like 200 plus knives people might not want another one!! I had no idea!! I just thought, i would give one of you guys something nice for Christmas!
