Too big, too strong, too hard...

I appreciate that the knife is ground down to the ricasso, giving the maximum possible cutting edge. For some reason the newer pics look more dark and mysterious.

I can't decide if it favors the the Q36 or the Devastator? It seems to have the RJ Martin family look alright.

I'm on the list for this big boy, can't wait for the specs to come out - and lots of pictures of the knife and another collaboration of the year award for Zero Tolerance!

It's definitely patterned after the Overkill (which is patterned after the Q-36), but just slightly larger. It's like a Super Overkill.

I got mixed up but I love this knife so far. It's going to be great to have a folder that Mr. Martin designed. ZT is really pulling out the stops with the big name collaborations - wow! :D

And did you day it's a supersized Overkill?! :D

The Overkill has a 3 7/8" blade and Thomas says this monster ZT will have a 4 1/4" blade. That's definitely a supersize!

We're going 4.25 for blade, so get your flipper finger ready, able, and willing...It's big boy time...
...and I don't want to hear any whining...You know who you are.

Ah. Finally! A new ZT offering with a 4.25" blade to displace that other brand 4.25" blade I sometimes carry (see bottom of picture below).

Just what does this business mean about too big, too strong, too hard? I have not seen it yet. I have plenty of Kershaws from Chive through Shallot but my paws do appreciate the beefier ZT offerings! The larger handles feel much more secure in my hand.

I like my Groove and this ZT could be a great step up in size and comfort.

Too big? You have got to be kidding me.

I think we need a 10" kukri flipper folder made from 7/16 stock :)
that'd make a GREAT edc pocket folder

That made me laugh. OK, I concede - that would be too big, too strong, too hard. One flip and the momentum would bring it around to cut off something important!!!

I was trying to picture any of the second through fourth ones from the left as folders.... Fixed yes - folder NO!!!

Don't stop at a 10" kukri flipper... how about a 20" kukri flipper? Here is something for scale:

Maybe go get yourself an Opinel Number 13 Giant instead?

I saw that and never heard of it? Anyone know a steel that's comparable and more well known?

Uh huh, Super Overkill is always a good thing! :D
I smell accolades from Blade!

I think it's a BG-42 equivalent, but better.

I'd trade one for my Rukus and throw in a Skirmish.( Both NIB, both full size) in a New York minute!

Not joking.

CTS-B75P is the Particle Metallurgy version of Latrobe's BG42. It is metallurgically similar, but enhanced. Very stainless, easy to sharpen and gets scary sharp....

Stay Sharp,

Welcome to the KAI family, RJ. I'm sure I speak for everyone here by saying we are exremely excited and delighted that you and KAI hooked up. And I hope we see more from both of you after this beauty hits the street!
