Took me over half an hour to pick a knife today...

Sometimes, thinking too much can stall you out. I spent well over thirty minutes trying to decide what knife would go in the pocket today... I went from the "haven't carried this in a while" to the "but what if I need this?" to the "I'll just take this and be done with it" scenario. Usually I'll just grab a suitable folder and go, but today I got stuck in an internal debate. Finally, the Spyderco Sage 1 settled the issue.

Anyone else? :o

Had a similar dilemma today, decided on the sage 2. Love the sage series for EDC, they are so comfortable.

If you carry 4 knives, it's not as hard to decide. Main EDC RFP, knife I use as money clip inside LFP, knife I am currently enamored with IWB at about 12:30, back up or cheaper knife to loan out either clipped LFP or clipped in back pocket or sometimes clipped IWB at about 4 O'clock.

I usually have my Gerber assisted opening folder in my pocket, but I also had my Camilus CP75 in horziontal carry on for a while today as well. I usually carry one or two of my inexpensive but well made folders every day.

I you are undecided do like Machete, carry the whole collection. :D

When I first read your post I thought you were buying a new knife and it took you thirty minutes to make a choice...which I have done myself on more than one occasion.

Then I realized... LOL.

My problem is making a choice, clipping it in my pocket thinking I'm good to go and then changing my mind after I already left the room. Then it's back to the collection to start all over again. The second choice is always better.

I was late to work today for this same reason. So many beauties staring up at me wanting to be carried. I'd get annoyed having more than one knife on me and I don't need my Izula around my neck at work so I only take one.

Lately, the Insingo has been getting called to duty the most but the Spydies get cranky when they don't get attention.

Sometimes it depends on the pants I'm wearing. Some of my right/front pants pockets have worn away at the top where the knife clips so there's not as much fabric thickness holding the knife securely. I don't carry my Sebenza's with those pants for that reason.

Sounds like me, now a days I go with themed EDCs, all bone handles or all stag or maybe all Queens or all CV blades, sometimes even all traditional or all modern post 2000 knives.

Still it can take quiet a while to mix and match my EDCs. ;)

Man, this happens to me every single day. I know how you feel. Not just with knives, either. Guns, flashlights, lighters, etc. My wife may take forever to get ready with hair, make-up and all that, but I take almost as long just figuring out what I'm going to clip on me before I walk out.

ususally it takes me 5 seconds to decide which knife im gonna edc.
If im going in to a sketchy area, i bring my safe keeper or civilian as well as bring my HK.
If im going to work, I take my CS ti-lite 6 incher.
If im going out for fun, I take my spyderco police.

I pick out one fast in the morning simply because I'm half asleep. As soon as I get home sometimes swap different knives thoughout the evening though. I have too many to pick from so I end up playing with quite a few of them.

I've found some fun in selecting one almost at random(almost). I went through a phase where I would start to get a little anxious if I left the hous without my Leatherman, but I got over it.

Sounds like many of you are burdened with too much choice. Feel free to make your life a little easier and send any extraneous dilemma-causing blades to me ;)

I don't have this problem. I'll carry the same knife for months, then change off to another one for months. Never needed to decide daily which to carry.
