That's exactly what I did and am sure that everybody that replied, instead of giving the OP crap about it, did so with their favorites. The reason it is "USEFUL" is because it is in one thread, not many.

This is not even for discussion. It's more like a catalog, or record, of noteable knives from people who, guess what, USE KNIVES. Are you waiting for some article in Blade Mag or some random youtuber to tell you which knife is good, or will you review the selections of many and take it into consideration.

If you've nothing further to add I must say "Good day sir....I SAID GOOD DAY SIR"

No particular order. I have at least one piece from each except for Hinderer,Krein, Bose, Rat and Burchtree but will in the future. All must haves IMHO. Many more custom makers I want also. It's almost impossible to make a list like this.

Hinderer
B. Goode

Benchmade
Spyderco

Kershaw
Al Mar
Mark Terrell
Busse
BRKT

Thank you guys for all your posts, keep them coming. I absolutely think this will be a good starting point for many. Again I humbly ask the moderators to sticky.

P.S. Gargoyle, I wasn't sure who you meant so sorry for the rambling, but maybe it will speak to any critics of this thread.

I'm with knarfeng on this one.
If you combine all of the posts you will get top 1000 knives or more... Pretty meaningless if you ask me. Thousands of members and everyone will have their top 20.
How useful this will be when page count goes over 10?
If you want opinions, well the whole forum is dedicated to that. It's not the thread criticism, but the idea to make it sticky...

there have been many threads just like this that weren't stickied. there are the "bucket list" threads, the top 10 threads, the favorite folders threads... all basically the same. There is no perfect list of top 20 knives... otherwise everyone would buy those 20 and be done... Where's the fun in that?

It's far from meaningless! You get your chance to show the world what knives turn your crank.
Why post anything but?????? Sheesh already!

Yes, and you are free to dedicate entire thread to a single knife, or any set of knives you like, and discuss it all you want.

Why post anything but?????? Sheesh already!
Don't get cranky :) Meaningless is to make this thread sticky, there are thousands of threads with similar content, and on top of that it won't serve any purpose as a knife selector...

Ok let's say I'm new and I come upon this thread. Most posters have the Spyderco endura and the CRK Sebenza, hmmm let me see...... Maybe I should check out those. It's a cross reference of knives worth having, not necessarily favorites. But guess what, the most useful knives tend to be the favorites.......because they are useful.

Kershaw Ram
Kershaw Skyline
Kershaw Junkyard Dog
Spyderco Delica
Spyderco Endura
Spyderco Tenasious
Spyderco Military
Spyderco Para Military
Spyderco Tenacious
Spyderco Mainix 2
Ritter Grip
BM Grip
BM Mini Grip
BM 710
CRK Sebenza
Buck 110
Buck Mayo
ZT 0300
RAT Izula
Various Busse’s

All good knives, all worth checking out.

....?
