Top Five Knife Manufacturers

By "best" I'm saying what I carry the most:

Folders:
~ Spyderco
~ Chris Reeve
~ Benchmade
~ RAT
~ Victorinox

Fixed:
~ Bark River
~ Becker/KA-BAR
~ ESEE
~ Mora
~ Bark River (again)

For folders only really, would change when considering fixed blades.

1. KAI (includes Kershaw and ZT)
2. Spyderco and Benchmade honestly these two tie for me. I have owned about the same amount of both and they both are just great companies
3. Microtech
4. CRK (Really hard but it might tie with some)
5. I want to say Brous but have not actually owned one or handles one, so going to go with Combative Edge as I love their M1

My top favorites, not necessarily in order.

1- esee-love the designs and ergos.
2-cold steel-not all of it, but they do make some good stuff, they have a wide variety of products too.
3-mora, because of the price to value ratio.
4-benchmade, I like their folders, and their made just down the road.
5-scrapyard/swamprat, amazing knives for the price point(never owned a busse)

My top manufacturers that I own, not in a particular order.
CRK
Emerson
Benchmade
Syderco
GEC
Case
Victorinox
Sorry but I couldn't stop at five.:)

I don't remember a time when my family is without at least one of something made by:
Zwilling J.A.Henckels

CRK makes a great pocket knife, but it's not remotely close to having "variety". If the OP's title was "top 5 pocket knife manufacturers" then I can understand some of his choices.

Great mix of manufacturers. Some rarely mentioned that are not my top five but I still like a bunch-
