Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it. The S30V version is sweet. I love the way it handles, and it feels a lot better to my hand when chopping since I ordered a set of smooth scales for it. I really do like the corrosion resistance for this area and in south Florida. My brother borrowed a while back it and hasn't given it back...so I bought the 5160 version to check out. Same exact knife, just a different steel. I am still trying to decide which one I am going to keep and which one I'm going to continue to let my brother "borrow" :rolleyes: :)
 
So what verdict did you end up passing on the 5160? Which blade did your brother get? Is there a separate post for the 5160 DART? (Sorry if I overlooked it ...)

I lucked out and got the s30v DART from SMKW, though TOPS had already switched to 5160. *cough* This was after I'd already bought the 5160 DART through my normal supplier. Heh. A year later, I still can't really tell the difference between the two, 'cept the 5160 looks darker. I don't live in a terribly wet or cold environment though. I'd like to try the s30v in some snow and freezing cold, just to see if the chipping-in-cold-weather rumors are true.
 
I am saving my penneys hopping to find a DART at a good price. With any luck a nice used one. Funny At first I had little interrest in this knife now I really want one. My Buck reaper is good so I want the next step.
