Go with the Busse club.

Uncle J, you are always teasing me with those Nick's.........

My three modest ones are users. They just beg to be used.

I don't have any pics of my pumpkin GW in use, but it gets carried and used ever day.

Thanks guys, wasn't meaning to antagonize at all. I found an AD on the sale page this morning and I'm going to go shoot him a PM now. Thanks!

Does anyone have a pic of a meaner, GW, and AD all together so I could get an idea of size?

Argh, nevermind...just pulled the trigger on a muddy AD with sheath. Should be here within a week!

Can you explain stripping it? Or point me to a link? Thanks!:D

Sure. A lot of folks like to strip their Busses using some sort of paint solvent.

I have taken the coating off many Busses because I simply think the bare steel looks better than a lot of the newer coatings Busse has come out with.

It is all a personal preference. I basically dislike any crinkle coat Busse currently has except the black.

Here is a link that may help. This mud razor had the same coating as the AD you are getting.

Thanks. :)

Now can I have one of your 1 of 7 green linen old style SJs?  :D

.

The stripped one went back home to VA.
I am still awaiting the minty one but that is going to make a killer pair with my Desert green linen / ARK.

You could be the first to call dibs on the pair if ya want but don't hold your breath buddy. :barf::)

While we're asking, I'd like an XXXL Nick. :p

Foo, did you hit that stripped Skelly with a Scotch Brite or anything?

I locked it down to a 2x4 with some drywall screws
and wrapped a sheet of 220 grit around a 2x2 and used it like a file to sand the flats.
Used a small piece of 220 with my thumb and cleaned up the spine and blade surface.
