Totally new to Busse...can you give me some advice?

Thanks for all the help guys!

Any worry about rust after the knife is stripped?

I want a hard working knife.... I'm new to Busse and looking for one knife only, what would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

:DBryan

You certainly came to the right place to get a "hard working knife". It seems like Busses personify the whole "if I only had one knife" concept. Of course...many come to the trough to get "one knife only"...once you've had a taste of what INFI is and what Busse has to offer, you might find your other knives lacking. Next thing you know, you're replacing everything with INFI. When Busse doesn't already have a favorite blade/handle shape/configuration, you find yourself sending in drawings with long pleading notes written on the back.

Argh, nevermind...just pulled the trigger on a muddy AD with sheath. Should be here within a week!

Welcome Aboard. :)

And here's a piece of advice: If you ask Tony G for stripping pictures, you'd better look at them quickly before the mods get to them. :cool:

I was just at Lunde's pool with a friend and he was showing me how to light my subjects, we couldn't use a knife because they might rust...

Okay, I had a funny response, but it was waaayy over the top, and I don't need another infraction.

I hear them infarctions can hurt.

I got one in the early 1980's from some woman that I met at a bar and she took me to see her hot tub.... but it didn't hurt until about four days later.:grumpy: :grumpy:

Welcome to the madness, and congrats on your first Busse. :thumbup:

here is a thread on stripping;

Thanks...and yes, I don't like to throw out stupid questions, although my first one on this thread seemed that way. I originally joined to look for a new folder and then "found" busse thru glocktalk, where I've got a pretty long history. This knife will be my first fixed blade. I don't see myself going hog wild into this. With all my previous hobbies, I've held back. Guns, Cars, 4x4's, Cigars, Beer, and Wine...I think I can hold back here too. I just like saving and getting something really nice, rather than cutting quality to not spend as much. That IS a pattern with me, and that's why I chose Busse. I think I'd like a heavy chopper eventually, but that's a ways down the road. Finances are much too tight right now.

Hang around, we think you may change your mind, especially after you get your hands on a Busse chopper.:D
