Tough as nails standup to anything

ZT 0350 or the Blur in S30V might fit the bill well. You might be able to get one of the CPM-154 Blurs (with carbon fiber inserts instead of the usual TracTec) for under your limit as well. The ZT has a very stout liner lock, and the Blur is slightly thinner (but still very strong).

My two favorite knives are the spyderco endura (pacific salt actually) and spyderco military. I have plenty of other knives that spend most of their time in a drawer, but these two constantly battle for pocket time. Both are excellent examples of large, tough folders with lots of handle that somehow manage to carry small. If you have large hands and you like your endura then I think the Millie is a no brainer.

The zt knives are well made and tough but they feel like a brick to me compared to the slim lines of the endura and the Millie. I carry my ti Millie inside waistband and forget it's even there.

This is the only way I carry my Ti millie. In a belt sheath.

The best solution would be to find a brick and mortar shop where you could pick up and handle the Millie and a few zt's. They are both great knives but completely different. Which one is right for you would probably be obvious if you can find a way to handle them.

Best of luck in your decision. Enjoy the hunt! :)

If you say the Endura handle is just about right for you then I'd recommend getting a military.

I'm really not feeling made in Taiwan for over 150$. I don't think I'll be picking that up.

Are you feeling the same knife but made in the US for maybe $250 or $300? Spyderco isn't dumb, they know making a knife in the US costs more but doesn't necessarily make it worth more. This is one of those arguments that usually don't go well though, so I'll refrain from further comments. :)

Could someone post a zt 350 spyderco military and maybe something else. Maybe a benchmade griptilian or something like that?

What about Benchmade's flagship- 710? Here's compared to Military:

I was going to suggest the same thing, it's hard to beat the 710, nice size, D2 is a good steel, excellent lock and to top all that off it's made in the USA!

I highly recommend the ZT-0550. It's beefy and tough as nails , great materials , great f&f and should only run you @ $160 (non blem).

Also , the Tai Chung Spydercos are among the finest production knives I have ever come across. Truly exquisite craftsmanship.

Chalk up another vote for the zt350. I'm a contractor and I beat the sh** out of my 350 on a daily basis and the thing's still dead center with no blade play. I'm sure my xm24 would do just as well but I can buy 8 of these for the same price!

If you're liking the 0350 but think its too small the 0200 would probably be perfect.

I felt the same way, then I bought a Gayle Bradley. If you had a Gayle Bradley, Domino, or a Sage 2 in hand you'd think differently. I don't even see the country of origin on those knives. I see nothing but their quality and excellent F&F.

Now when it comes to traditional slipjoints that's another matter...
