Tough as nails standup to anything

The Domino feels much better in hand than the 0350. Even the Sage 2 feels better and it has a fairly short handle. It's because the end of the handle curves, which reduces space for the pinky, and the flipper reduces space for the index finger.

I know a lot of people spaz about a knife's "blade to handle ratio" but there's something to be said for a comfortable handle. I don't care if the blade is a 1/2" shorter if it has a more comfortable grip.

Comfort is key to me idc about ratio. If it's comfrotiable idc if it is a 3.5 inch blade and 5 inch handle.

I just want to give the ZT301 another vote. I EDC mine everyday as well. You can't hurt it. I'll bet it would make it through a fire too. :)

A bit out of my price range especially what I intend to use it for just a beater. That's more of a high end carry and not a ah screw it lemie just pop it apart with my knife knife.

You can get a blem 0301 from Kershawguy for under $200. Functionally, they're fine, but may feature cosmetic blemishes. If you're going to use it as a beater though, then that shouldn't be an issue. It is a very comfortable knife to handle, and it is extremely sturdy. It should stand up to any rational use and abuse you can put a knife through.

Don't Blems have no factory warranty though?

I highly recommend the ZT-0550. It's beefy and tough as nails , great materials , great f&f and should only run you @ $160 (non blem).

Also , the Tai Chung Spydercos are among the finest production knives I have ever come across. Truly exquisite craftsmanship.
+1 for the ZT550 its a solid knife without being excessively large and heavy like some of the other ZTs.
&
+1 on Taichung Spydercos being some of the finest production knives available right now and IMO every bit as good if not better then a Seki or Golden made Spyderco.

And?????

My 0301 blem has been beat on like it owed me money. Lost 1/8" of its tip when I cleaned out the chute of a running lawn mower. It is made to be used not babied. If I can kill it due to my use I wouldn't use the warranty anyway. I see that as covering their manufacturing...not a free knife due to my use.

My choice is the Adamas 275 because of the Axis if we are talking tough as nails. Since that's out for you, Gayle Bradley all the way.

I've looked at it but I kind of worry about what I saw in jdavis video where he said there is no lock cutout. I have pretty thick fingers so I usually try to get something that's easy and comfortable to unlock. Any pictures or words of advice that can show me other wise?

There is no problem unlocking the knife even with some moderate-heavy work gloves IMO:

Honestly I'm leaning towards the 0350 even though I don't like assisted knives but I've never had a zt before and the design is nice. Also not sure about its size I've heard the handle is short witch would really be a deal breaker because I'm 6"3 and have wide hands.

I'm almost the same specs as you (6'4", wide hands etc) and the ZT 350, while a great knife, was too small for me. I settled on the the ZT 550 which fits my hand perfectly, is as tough as they come, carries well in the pocket and can handle anything you care to throw at it.

Plus you can dress 'em up real purdy like :)

Screw it ill rip it apart with my zt550. At my job wen we have to send out a skid with Steel banding around it we have to put boards across the top under the banding to protect the product. Sometimes we have to cannibalize another skid to get a board So I pop boards off of it with my 550 just because it can.I have also used my550 and a rubber mallet to through banding on skids coming in. Very abusive to the knife.I would never expect Kershaw to warranty it when I do break it after all that. Over a year and still going strong.
