Tough but Dead Mil. HG 55

Excellent!

Thanks for helping someone in need and sacrificing your knife.
A Busse can always be replaced or fixed. The Boss sees to that.
Helping a stranger out without thought .... Priceless

Killer Cool ! ! ! ! !

Good on you man!

Your selfless act most assuredly led to a much better outcome for those involved. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who were injured.

The brute strength that you must have exerted is evidenced by the condition of your blade. Looks like it must have been an adrenalin dump of nuclear proportions!!!!

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. . . There is no better group of people than can be found on the Busse boards. . . We are always in the presence of heroes.

Rest assured that you can throw a world of hurt at your Busse knife and always be covered by our warranty. Send that puppy in and we'll get her replaced for you ASAP! :D

Jerry :D

Thank You Very Much Mr Bossman
You & the Busse crew are the best.
I can't tell how much i'm impressed & satisfied by you're
Customer Service :)

I've gotta say I'm a little surprised it did not break along the lines of the new-wave CBT. I'm no mechanical engineer but that's how I woulda guessed one of these would snap.

That is an awesome story. You did a grate thing!

I would have thought it would have caved along the CBT also. Hell of a show of strength!

Also, the above words speak volumes Thank-you!

And thank you Boss for the compliment and
the two HG55 KNIVES I purchased from you!
NO REGRETS
I,like all the other hogs here can only wish to break a busse in such
a heroic manner, and I would break all mine for a human life
if need be.
By the way how about the old TV show BRANDED with the broken sword!
Maybee ?Next offering???????what do you think HOGS?
Again Varulv,Thanx for being a good person!
Brian

There is your problem, you took an HG55 to do the job of a CG Ash1!.

thanks for sharing.

thanks again everybody but now you can stop throwing me flowers :D

Hey, Varulv, did you keep the 2 pieces that snapped off? If you did, ya oughta have them cleaned up, ground into some cool shape & polished or satinized, drill a hole in 'em and wear 'em on a chain. INFI bling with feeling. :D:thumbup: ...Like an INFI shark's tooth or something.

I want to make it clear for people who doesn't know it yet
You will need a big dose of adrenalin to break an HG 55.

I'm 6,3 tall & 290lbs & i pushed very hard on it.
I was without any doubt on a rush of adrenalin.

thanks agains folks it's too much!
You're great!

Whew... what a knife. If it happen to my modded HG55, is it still covered by the same fantastic warranty?

wooooooooow! Big guy you are,
When I see the words:BUSSE- KNIVES YOU SWEAR BY:
AND:Just in case you can take it with you: I beleave!
Bossman you ROCK!

I am thoroughly impressed with the breakage of such a blade! Even with the CBT that is used it is still a very sought blade. That must have been some serious $hit to have the ability to keep at task. Good on you to be prevalent on helping those in need!! Truly a HOG!!!

Looks like that HG55 was put to good use. Good work

The HG55 isn't very wide of blade, so it isn't quite as tough as some of the wider models, even though it is decently thick at 1/4". But it did the job, and that is the most important thing.

Fantastic work Varulv - that's the way to use a Busse!

Another one for the hall of fame!

Good on ya, man!

Just goes to show you, that you have to get a BM of some sort, or maybe a HHFSH, or HOGFSH for your next rescue!

Wow, excellent work there. Not everyone are able to perform what you have done. It takes a brave and kind personality to achieve what you have done in your heroic act. Good work man.

On the other note, that must have been really really really hard to break that beast. I have two and know how strong they are.

Just read this one, what a great story all the way around --- way to go Varulv!

Whew... what a knife. If it happen to my modded HG55, is it still covered by the same fantastic warranty?

Probably not, but it depends on exactly what you had done. If you change the scales for example, and then you break the blade opening a car door, then the warrranty should apply. But if you have done any significant alteration of the blade itself, then a broken blade would not be covered.

Genenrally speaking, if you do any blade reprofiling/alteration/regrind, then you own your own warranty, and have to trust the INFI and your own common sense.
