Whats the toughfest production or semi production folder in your opinion and why?.
Before anyone says it i know folders arent pry bars etc and will only take so much abuse etc but what is your choice as the toghest folder made by a company and the reason why?.
Ive got a mini Rukus a Manix a ZT 301 had a Sog Tomcat 3 but i know a tougher folder could be made IMO and possibly is already there.
In my case id pay a lot of cash for the right knife a Sebenza isnt the answer for me as i sold my last one because it wasnt what i was looking for.

Extrema Ratio RAO

Based on what Ive seen on noss's site, I'd say this is probably the most robust folder out there.

Is there a folder made yet that can be purchased without to much hassle with a blade steel like 3V or similar tough steel with a tough lock and liners?.
Ive heard theres a rumored spyderco Tuff prototype in 3V but is there any avalible now?.

The toughest knife in my opinion is the Rick Hinderer XM-18 with the spanto blade!

Maybe not THE toughest, but the Spyderco Chinook 3 and the BM Resistor are DAMN tough.
Resistor is discontinued but can still be found for around $150, and you'd be hard pressed to find more knife for the money than a Chinook.
If I need MORE toughness, it's time to break out the fixed blades.

i know a lot of people dont like cold steel and im not too big on them myself. BUT.. the cold steel recon - early ones with the zytel handles are pretty damn bad ass. seen my buddies do just about anything he asked of it.

Seconding the Recon-1, the thing is tough. I've batoned many branches with mine and its still in near perfect condition.

Don't discount the Cold Steel AK-47, it is one of the most solid folders I have owned in a factory production knife.

I just bought a Marlin spike made by Rough Rider....Great looking knife and the spike is used to pick rocks up in my new yard.....Cheap, but i love it.....carl
