Toughest knife you own

M, yes that is the knife. As for the other knives they are all made from the same steel with the same heat treatment so I would expect similar levels of durability. They get thinner as the blade length decreases so the smaller models tend to cut better (but don't chop as well obviously). I have the other knives in that line and have done some work with them. As to how they cut and such I have described using the A1 :

and it contains a link at the bottom of the page to a review in progress of the other knives, F1, S1, and WM. There is some detail comparing them to other knives describing how they cut, sharpen, hold their edge etc. .

I have a Gerber magnum hunter that's about 25 years old and simply won't quit.

Kurdy,

I think we are going to run all over the place until you tell us what you are doing with your knives. We would be better able to make a recommendation if you tell us how you use your large knives and how you manage to break them.

There are alot of good though knives out there. but any knife can and will break if it is put to hard use, and even the cheapest knives shouldn't be chipping on a regular basis.

Busse INFI Steel Heart II, awaiting a Mean Street stablemate. I have a Blackjack Reinhardt Combat Khukri, but with Blackjack now in the past, I'm a bit reluctant to use it. No problems with my Rinaldi TKK, either, after inflicting some pretty hard camp use upon it.

Hello,

The A1 is very hard to destroy.
The conceptor of that knife told us that if the knife could break it will break only at the tip. Like that, you still have a generous lenght of steel to survive.

The A1 of Fallkniven is really built like a Casimirus !

Cheers,
