Toughest knife?

Hey guys. What do you think is the toughest, most durable knife that you know of? I live in like super thick woods. I don't want a machete. But I want to be able to cut thorns bushes and clean game with it. So what do you guys think is the toughest knife?

All kidding aside ESEE and Becker are two companies that make an outstanding product , stand behind them 100%, and at a fair price too!
 
The toughest fixed blade or the toughest folder?The toughest fixed blade i have is a handmade,1095 carbon steel.The toughest folder i have is the strider 880 spearpoint.

It says Mortal Kombat. Shao Khan wields it in the tournament between earth realm and nether realm.

It also shoots lightning from its hilt. You just have to be careful not to stab yourself with it when you grip it in pikal.
 
I don't have an ESEE or Busse but do plan to get some in near future.

As for now, my 2 fixed blade Striders are taking the crown.

Kabar Beckers are good knives,also the Ranger series from Ontario knives are good.ESEE was already mentioned.Those three deliver big bang for your buck.

Btw I love that super evil tactical killing tool in that pic. Where can I reach mastersmith "mortal combat"? I got to talk to him,...I can allready tell that he knows what do I need.
RAZORBLADES,...who made that 1095 that you like so much? Have seen some blistering performance from 1095.
note to myself: ask master "mortal combat" if he can make me that knife in 1095, or...maybe I should just go with one of his "super secret super steels" that is unbreakable once the thickness of the blade is reduced to 3/4"???

I can't believe I know this, but in the Mortal Kombat movie Kano used the knife to kill Sonya's partner. Why yes, I am a huge dork.:D
 
Chopping woods and skinning game really require different knives. Also high toughness is a trade-off with blade hardness and good "slicing" geometry. There is no knife that can do it all.
 
Check out Ontario's Spec Plus Gen 2 line. Made from 5160, very tough, no frills and cheap.

You can go up a notch and get a Becker, or another notch and check out ESEE.

The toughest knive I own is probably the Chopweiler by Swamp Rat. You are going to have a distrinctly difficult time skinning game with one of those however. :D
 
Well I also live in the big woods. Production wise Busse and Bussekin,ESEE and Beckers cant be beat. Custom wise Scott Gossman , Jeremey Horton,Trace Rinaldi and Bill Siegle make no BS real world hard use knives! I trust my life on these makers knives!
