Toy Porn!

Interesting setups. I'm particularly interested in the Taurus. It looks a lot like a Winchester Model 06 we have. My grandfather traded a bushel of walnuts for it back in the day. Still take it out from time to time, it shoots very well and is a very nice handling little gun. The only problem is that the magazine spring sticks on occasion. Also, the magazine tube is held on with some JB Weld, evidently the gun was dropped numerous times. Still going, though. It's a very cool old gun.

I'm sure the Taurus is a copy. It's well designed and a pretty robust little .22 pump. It was really stiff for the several hundred rounds, but it's starting to smooth out. The magazine tube guide/spring seems a little loose to me and I may make a little larger detent make me feel better, but I've had no issues of it "shoot" off during fireing. The take down is very simple and the primary screw is easy to loosen with a screwdriver or spind of a knife blade and it stays on the frame (doesn't come out). The Youth version I bought came with two stocks, youth and adult...I need to find the larger stock, but the youth was still to large for my "then" 5 year old son, so I chopped it down a little further...still works great and would make a great pack .22 rifle.

Yeah Rock, I've seen the Taurus in some magazines, etc. Would like to handle one sometime. Been thinking that if I ever find one it would be cool to pick it up. Would probably take it out a lot, I would shoot the Winchester more often than my Ruger if it worked well all the time. These pump-action .22s are just plain fun to shoot.

Where's everyone else's....this kind of title used to get a 1000 response picture thread going!!!

Okay, I'll play a bit.

Well, I don't have many pictures of my guns, but here are a couple toys. Here's a cool one for y'all... A dozen toys laid out in a friend's apartment. A bunch of us went together and ordered these. I only got one, but one is fun enough for me.

And my Czech Mauser and a friend's K31 with some ammo.

I LOVE the Hi Power but need a little takedown rimfire/.410 rifle.
As much as I love the HP my hands are a bit small for the grips. A 1911 gfits perfect but I like the .9mm and HP action better.

That was a great little skandi as well.

Cool Mosins.

Love the Mosin as well rocketbomb; the majority of the surplus rifles out there are a real bargain...less pain in your wallet and more on your shoulder:eek: Actually I like my M44...it kicks a little, but is a blast!

Actually, with the new thinner G10 grips, my BHP feels "better" than my 1911's! I was really surpised and the change of feel for it. I have average sized hands and I'm quite comfortable with 9mm Glocks, Sigs and CZ's, but with the narrower grips on the BHP, it's a joy to shoot and carry more than I use to.

Used to go rattin with a Winchester .410 in the tobacco barns as a kid. Send in a jack russel to flush them out.

Those grips rock!
I love the idea of thinner side panels but i find an uncovered frontstrap and backstrap to be too slippery.
The first 4 months i had mine i only had the stock wooden grips. I handled it so much i wore all the bluing off the front and backstrap.
:o
Right now i have slightly modified Pachmyr Signature grips on mine.
The Pachmyrs rubber backstrap is separate from the grip itself, if only the front was separate as well. Then i could get grips like yours and have a Pachmyr front and backstrap.
I need to get the front and backstrap stippled or checkered.

Anybody have a how to on do-it-yourself-metal-stippling/checkering?

I wonder can you get those textured glue-on grip materials for Browning backstraps and frontstraps?
