This is my Virginia Long Knife, it is currently available for sale.

It is an exact copy of a historical pattern, the very knife shown in Madison Grant's book "Knives of Homespun America".

The knife is 14 inches overall, with a 9 inch blade.

The Blade is Hand Forged from a file of 3/16 inch stock,

It has a Forged Guard with Curved Finals and Filework Decoration, the Hickory handle is secured with a steel pin and has a wrapped and soldered bolster of copper secured with a brass pin.

I have images of the description, from the book at my PhotoBucket....

It won Best Early American at the 1997 Montana Knifemaker's Association Show

Great looking knife Bob!! Do you happen to have a web-page showing your work and/or available knives? Thanks.
