Trackrock Fall Hammer-in

Thanks Mark! The 4 cabins they have are booked up, I don't have a tent, and if I tried sleepin on an air mattress you guys would have to strap me to a piece of plywood and carry me around all day to all the events, lol. If I was gonna use a camp site I'd just sleep in my car. It's a station wagon and plenty big enough for an air matress. I was thinkin about spending a trial night in it here just to see. Would save some money for sure.

L6,
There are also a few motels in Young Harris, GA, which is just up the road north east of Trackrock. About the same distance as Blairsville.
You will have a better selection of eateries in Blairsville though.
Looking forward to meeting you.

Hey all, as things turn out, the little woman is getting home sick for Alabama and we are going to be driving to Alabama on 10/31/03. While she is visiting with family on 11/01/03 and seeing her newborn twin nieces, I think I am going to bust the 190 miles from there to check this out.

Are you all going to be easy to find?

I don't know what I can bring to the party as far as knowledge, but I sure would like to do some meet and greet and put some faces to all of the names.

See you all there. If you see a black F150 4x4, with a guy wearing a Carolina's Panthers cap, with a dumb look on his face, driving around in circles, flag me down!:D

Laredo7,
If you can find things in Alabama then Blairsville should be a snap.
What part of Alabama will you be coming from?
If you pick up a fresh GA state map at a welcome station you should be able to navaigate to BLairsville with no serious difficulty. GA highway signage is pretty good.
Go to www.Trackrock.com you can download a map and written directions to the campground that should get you there in good order. Keep their phone # handy and they can guide you in if necessary.

Nearest good eating places are in Blairsville so watch your timing or grab a picnic lunch while passing through. We usually have a large vat of stew cooking for Sat. lunch, but the event is getting larger and can't say how far it will go. (Best bring a backup).

As far as bring knowledge to the table, we all have something to share and plenty to learn. But the best part by far, is the making of friends. We look forward to seeing you there.

Hey, be fair! It was heated balanced on some of my "high quality" knife steel and stirred with some of my favorite sawblade stock. That's gottat count fo something! You can't get that flavored rust just anywhere......and I tested a whole bunch of it to make sure it was safe for the rest of the crowd!
Besides..wee s**t comes from Leprechans and I sure to heck ain't Irish!

Chuck---looking forward to seeing you and your Dad again. Seems like this shindig is gathering a full head of steam---Sandy

Gonna be great to see you again Sandy! Got a few new things to show.

Looks like we got a lot of folks coming. Pam is bringing a couple with her.

Anyone got a rough count? Where we gonna set up?

Regards,

Pat

Crex will be bringing genuine fresh florida fish(ing tales). Get ready for the "one that got away".
See you there, Ken

Hey Folks,

The Alexanders are going to let us set up in the new shop. Its just inside the grounds on the left. BIG nice barn structure. They have it inclosed now. 5 or 6 forges and a wood stove burning should be nice and toasty.

Sure am looking forward to it. I'll be in cabin 4. Drop on by when you get in.

Mark

I'll be there Wednesday evening. Cant wait. Crex is SUPPOSED to be bringing some fish. We'll see. Where you gonna stay Michael?

Mark

I'm gonna camp out Mark! Got an air matress that fits in the back of my car so I'll be fine, just gotta call and reserve a camp site today. I just hope they give me one close to the rest of you folks!!
