I'm looking forward to that weekend! Vacation request submitted!

I can't wait. We're in Cabin 5.

I plan on attending this event. Tried to email you last week CRex but didn't get a response. Guessing it didn't go thru or I forgot to put my email in the message.

Anything specific I need to do or sign up for? Anything I need to bring besides camping gear, food, and water? Will items be available to purchase? Do I register for a campsite thru the campground?

And what is "iron in the hat"?

Thanks!

Hey guys, not getting too much response on the lunch RSVP. Therefore, if you plan on attending, have an alternative plan for Sat. lunch just in case.

Carl .. you can put me down for eating lunch there on Saturday if available. I usually bring something with me, but the catered BBQ is too good to pass up.

Ok folks, here's the skinny. Finally got something arranged with a fella up in Blairsville to handle the BBQ lunch so it is a go. I will still need a head count. Thank you all that have responded, I have you on the list.

Glad to hear you will make it Bamboo. Your other plans change?
All you Fiddlebacks are always welcome......just remember your safety glasses are for wearing not for GQ assessorizing.

Yup, my plans got pushed back to the weekend after, so I get to have my cake and eat it too. Count me in for lunch on Saturday. I'm guessing most of our crew will want in as well - probably 6 of us.

Not recv'd email, but yahoo is always off it's nut. I will put you on the list. One mouth or more?

Thank you crex. Yeah yahoo has been really wonky as of late.
My wife and son will be with me. My son has allergies so don't count him for the bbq.
Called and got a tent site already (actually the nice lady I talked to said it was an RV site)

I don't have much to offer but would a 2' piece of rebar, a ~16x2x? piece of 1095, and some g-10 (enough for a handle or two) be some things that can be used?

I am looking forward to learning some new things. I am going on knife #4 now (stock removal). First two are hideous and the third was technically not supposed to be a knife but it keeps growing on me.

Take care and thank you all for organizing an event like this.

Any of those items would be great, not designed to break anyone's plunder bank, just a materials swap of sorts.

Think you will like the Campground. The Alexanders' run one of the finest in the SE. Plus there are lots of other things to do as well.

Bring the knives you've made and are working on. You will be able to get some serious constructive critique and find there are multiple ways to accomplish things.
Looking forward to seeing you there.

ps - Caterer said the BBQ will be pulled meat with the sauce on side to apply as desired if that helps with allergies.

Is it too late to get in on this? Looks like that weekend is clearing up for me.

EDITED to Add that I'm in, add me to the lunch count (1 person) and I'll be tenting.

Swonut- All you need to do is email Carl and give him your lunch reservation. Sat. lunch is the only place we need a head count. Great place to camp, but you do need to call them (Track Rock Camp Ground) to reserve site if you need. Come in Friday and get an extra day of fun. Hope you can make it!
