Up for trade is my Andre Thorburn L51 flipper. I have this listed for sale, but no action, and now it's so far down the listings I doubt anyone even sees it.
I just picked this up from another member about two weeks ago. He got it new shortly before that. I decided to get a custom one of these made and I now have an order in with Thorburn for an L51 built to my personal specs. Don't need two L51's, so I am interested in trading this one for something else.
Red G-10 scales and back spacer. Thorburn's signature file-worked Ti liners anodized light blue with slightly darker blue in the file cuts. Absolutely stunning. It's a fantastic knife with the smoothest flipping action I have ever seen on anything...well except for other Thorburns. Boehler N690 blade is razor sharp, perfectly centered, and the detent is perfect. Lockup is early and perfect...no blade play in any direction. Lock bar disengagement is silky smooth.
There's one extremely small "blem": tiny tool mark on the corner of one jimping ridge on the top of the blade (nearest the back). I tried my damnedest to get it to show up in a photo but it is just barely perceptible. I want to make sure I disclose everything about any item I sell or trade, so I am pointing this out. Comes with a Bill's padded Velcro case, and certificate of authenticity from Andre Thorburn.
I am looking to trade for some other cool flipper. My only requirements are just that it be a high quality knife, known high-end blade steel (no mystery steels), and that it be a flipper opening knife. Specific blades I am looking for right now are an Olamic Wayfarer (could be even or you would add cash), or a Hinderer XM-18 DLC FDE Slicer (I would add cash). But interested in lots of other stuff too, so don't be shy. Hit me up if you are interested and either you, or I, can add cash to even out the trade.
