I am having a potential trade problem with Veubent. Here's the situation:

- We agreed on a trade on Tuesday June 16 and I shipped my knife out.
- I received an email on Friday June 19 from him saying:
"Hey, im sry to tell you that i have miss placed the Buck 303 in my large collection, I was emailing you to tell you that if i cannot find it by the time the Chive gets here i will pay to ship your knife back to you. I do apologize and i hope it turns up so i can ship it to you. Thanks"
- I asked him to ship my knife back upon receipt as he agreed to do in his email and to send me the return shipping information.
- That is the last email I got from him. The knife was delivered to him on Monday morning (6/22) and no replies to several emails since.

Hopefully he sees this (and the other posts and emails) and will respond. I am hoping this is just a poor communication issue and my knife is on the way back.......

I will post any updates.

He should not only pay to have your knife shipped back; he should also reimburse you for your original shipping cost.

Otherwise, you're out $$ (and time) and it's his fault.

+1

This should be common sense but many people prefer to be ignorant to the FACT. I have had problems with this in the past and dont understand whats so hard to grasp. If someone messes up, it should not be up to me to loose a single cent.

There definately should be a check or cash for the wasted postage when the knife is returned. With the postal rates these days if you ship a decent sized fixed blade Priority with insurance for say $300 it could cost you $12-$15. In this case it was a chive so the postage shouldn't have been to much, but whatever postage was spent on shipping the knife should be the minimum returned to the original shipper.

Just got an email from him. He said he was gone all week and it was sent it back unopened on Wednesday.

UDPATE:

The knife arrived back safely 9 days after he sent it back by refusing the shipment.
