Traditional and Modern pairings

I have been carrying this combination a lot recently. They make a great combination.

If the second pic looked like the first one, I'd have posted this in the "Notable Pairs" thread, because here we have a Chinese knife and a Bulgarian knife. Both slip joints. Both uniquely different than any other currently made production pocket knives.

But the second pic shows why this is in the Traditional/Modern pairs thread.

- stunning!! What a pair, best pair I've seen in ages.

Please, can you tell me the maker etc

The top, larger knife is the Sablya by Custom Knife Factory. The bottom on is a slip joint by Jim Burke. It's a "modernized" traditional knife.

Well, I have recently been thinking about carrying a modern knife, and realizing how many times a one hand opener would be handy. Normally I would say, buy a fixed blade and another slippie, but the modern knife would cover both and allow me to carry it everywhere unlike some fixed blades. So I think a Mini Grip in sheepsfoot blade is going to be on the way. If I liked liner locks I would buy a kershaw Needs Work. I think that either of those paired with a jack knife would be an excellent duo, Pen, clip, and a big sturdy sheepsfoot. I'll be checking the for trade forum too.
