Traditional and Modern pairings

Great knives, and nice pictures, marthinus! Thank you for the pair, focusing on the giraffes and then then knives; it gives a good sense of the place. (And from from over here looks pretty exotic, too!)

More often than not, I have this modern paired with whatever traditional I fancy for the day. Here it is as a portrait of my smallest of each category.

I need more light at my desk, as I cannot make a good picture using the flash on my phone.

Thanks for the kind words. It is a privilege to see these animals from time to time and something I am grateful for.

Frank, is that a 305? I really like it.

That's a 301, a 4" stockman. It does look smallish next to the Manly. The Manly is a large piece of cutlery. Which is why I have retained the pocket clip instead of removing it and trying to carry it in my front pocket. It actually is just a large slipjoint.

Brett, I admired your knife from afar for the longest time and finally got one myself last week. Glad to have you back and you can now post pictures of that beauty guilt free (if you had been feeling any guilt).
