• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Traditional and Modern pairings

Here's my current fav close to yours. I like those scales you have.

I'm thinking the Fremont Jack in Mammoth is high on the list too.

That's a cool hole in the blade on that Spyderco. That upswept ramp just above the hole sets it off nicely. Do they call those lines Jimping? Cool color too. Is that Spyderco's Dragonfly?

Yep that's the Dragonfly. It's a nice one to pair up with another knife.

Back a few posts ago that Michigan Jack sure looks nice as does the #26.

Marthinus, Nice to see that "Rite in the Rain" in use with you. The company is located about 7 miles from my home, which I did not know until I meet one of their salespersons at a trade show. John

Nice pair bladeCraft124!

Mike Vagnino P-38 and a Hiroaki Ohta Wharncliffe Trapper.

Very nice Gary. I really like that many of your moderns have a somewhat traditional flair to them.

Thanks, Bob. I do like natural materials for covers and Damascus is always on my radar. Kinda makes the utility of the one handers a little easier for me to appreciate.

Definitely is a good knife with a slip joint. I carried my orange HAP 40 dragonfly and a GEC 14 today. I think a lot of the traditional guys would appreciate a dragonfly or a small insingo sebenza if they would try one.

I didn't see your question answered... yes, the lines on the ramp are called "jimping." They're supposed to give you a better grip on the spine with your thumb.
