Traditional and Modern pairings

Case Slimline Trapper in laminated black canvas.
Ritter Griptilian with M390 steel.
The Grip. was doing the heavy, dirty work but the Slimline had the long skinny blade I needed to reach around obstructions to trim a bunch of ripped up plastic film to clear it out of the way. It worked perfectly for me . . . just the tool I needed today ! ! !
You can tell it is a modern world pic; my writing pen and my flash light are way shorter than my pocket knives.

This is my first post in this thread.
The current modern vs traditional topic had me thinking about some of my modern knives.
One has modern high tech materials, the other has "old fashioned" materials and design.
One spends time in a safe next to my handgun, the other spends time in my pocket.

Remarkable! But as I know NOTHING about Modern knives could you tell me what the scales are, approx size and weight please? I'd like a small Modern as most of them look big and bulky to me. Any body got any suggestions? This one looks hugely expensive though..:D

Thanks, Will

It's a Chris Reeves Knives Mnandi with a Devin Thomas stainless Ladder pattern blade and mammoth ivory scales :)

They range from ~$350-750 with this configuration being towards the high end (taken me 25 years of collecting to work up to carrying something like this:eek:).

Blade: 2.75"
Handle: 3.5"
Weight: 46g

Two recent acquisitions:

...a modern folder with hi-tech materials and super-steel, that's interesting and fun to play with. And a knife I use for cutting stuff, replacing the sheepsfoot blade of a 34OT I'd used previously. (The stockman is going on to other duties. Meanwhile, I do like a sheepsfoot blade for a lot of household cutting tasks and thought a longer dedicated blade might be good for those jobs.)
