Traditional and Modern pairings

Not exactly knives I would carry simultaneously (or at all in the case of the antique one), but I think this pair captures very nicely more than a century of Hispanic knife-making tradition:

On the left, a hunting plug bayonet made by the Fábrica de Toledo in 1880; on the right, a Muela Sarrio with rubber handle.

Over the weekend my beautiful fiancé and I celebrated 5 incredible years together so of course I had to have some special knives in my pocket. The Sebenza because it’s beautiful but still does not compare with her 😉 and the Olive Wood 77 to remind myself to be grateful to God for answering my prayers and leading me to her.
