Traditional and Modern pairings

My son (18 months) has been helping his grandpa window shop for cattle.

Hard to beat a canoe pattern. Always think of my wife’s grandfather when I carry one. He ran a tack and saddle business after retirement and would sit around on slow days whittling on scrap leather with a Case Canoe while between customers.

Today's carry, there is a K55 Mercator in the pocket protector with the Demko and the SAK is a Deluxe Tinker.
Plus a cool pic I took earlier, the old and the new and old materials and new versions of carbon steels.... Ironwood, Micarta and Maple with Cellidor w/ WWII era cartoons, Titanium, Aluminum

Thank you for taking the time to clarify, I appreciate it. Not to be a burden, but would the slide lock on the large SAKs also be considered a traditional lock, or would it be a modern design? It’s a bit of an oddball so I’m not sure where these Vics belong in this section of the forum.
Again, thank you for your time.

Sorry, I think that one crosses the line. It you post it showing just the other side, and there's no lock, thumb stud or other modern contrivance, I'd say it's OK.

Thank you sir. I knew it was going to be “iffy”…neat lock tho, I like that your fingers are never in the way of a closing blade.

Now back to our regularly scheduled programming…

These three today. I couldn't resist the Kershaw Federalist as its a USA made "traditional" from a knife company that I am rooting for. Due to the the double detent instead of the backspring I am more inclined to consider it a modern. Great knife either way.
