It's a Scarperia Zuava. I picked it up in Florence, Italy a few weeks ago. Zuava is a French pattern, from around the time of Napolean, if I recall correctly. The Italian cutlers made one also. This one was made in Scarperia, Italy, near Florence, by I COLTELLI DELL'ARTIGIANO SNC.
Here's a pic of it opened. I really like the knife!

I have the cheap Fraraccio version, which I like quite a bit - shown here with my designated “gross stuff only” toxic-green Ka-Bar Dozier, one of just 3 modern knives I own:

Cool! I wish mine had a nail nick. I can pinch it open, but a nick would make it easier in some situations.

That's a pretty bold statement... I'll take that dare... Lest ye forget that Case makes some of the absolute best production folders on the market. ;)

Meant to say what is the date on my imperial 😂 but I know good Case knives exist! I just need one :( I want to go to a knife store and handle a few because their handle material is truly beautiful most times and a good sturdy CV blade on one of the many killer designs/scales would be excellent.
