Traditional and Modern pairings

Charr Charr - mmm, loving that GEC. Am only learning more about these slippies of very late - please can you tell me more (model, age etc)
I did not appreciate them anough when it was still easier to get a hold of them several years ago myself. Let several sweet knives slip away when I shouldn’t have!

This one is a “2 Acorn Barlow”, 861121 from 2021. Has 440C blade and red and black micarta in layer for the covers. It is one of my favorite GECs I own. I have a small collection of specifically the 440C stainless bladed GECs. It’s a shame they don’t make more of them, but I understand they do it to keep their traditional machining in working condition, so I can’t get mad at them for it
If you want a traditional on the larger side that is still easy to carry, the 86 pattern is great. Slim, but still able to do a whole lot of work!

jfk1110 jfk1110 ............hey, can't quite make that out - is it a clip-point hunter masquerading as a drop-point hunter 🤔 ........!

Very nice indeed - think I have a similar somewhere from Marcus Lin
