Traditional and Modern pairings

I did not appreciate them anough when it was still easier to get a hold of them several years ago myself. Let several sweet knives slip away when I shouldn’t have!

This one is a “2 Acorn Barlow”, 861121 from 2021. Has 440C blade and red and black micarta in layer for the covers. It is one of my favorite GECs I own. I have a small collection of specifically the 440C stainless bladed GECs. It’s a shame they don’t make more of them, but I understand they do it to keep their traditional machining in working condition, so I can’t get mad at them for it
If you want a traditional on the larger side that is still easy to carry, the 86 pattern is great. Slim, but still able to do a whole lot of work!

Chui Chui Paul, I totally agree the 2AB is one of their best!View attachment 3046420
- thank you, both..!

Yes, what a beaut. Will try find one in UK 👍

How do you like that Rosie? They are far out of my price range, but I am curious how they stack up for action compared to others with which I am familiar, such as Chris Reeve. Is the blade grind nice and thin?
It’s a really nice knife. If I had to do it again would I get one ? …….no 😂. I prefer a Chris Reeves Sabenza if I’m being honest.
