hey folks.. how goes it.. i'm glad to be back home..
we got in around 5 pm. from the shoot... we had an awesome time.. the ranch the shoot is held on, is gorgeous... it's not too far from the coast, so the fog rolls in pretty hard in the mornings.. i can't wait until next year... we were all filthy, tired and hungry when we got home... i have a ton of stuff to put away still, that'll have to wait until tomorrow...
here's some pics in the meantime.. there are soo many good archers at these shoots, i am always impressed... i shot really well.. so well that i surprised myself.. for the most part, my competition are the guys that i shoot with... primarily BOOMSTICK... and i prevailed..........................
this time, my wife and little dude went.. it was their first time attending one of these big shoots.. they both did great... my wife is a natural and Cypress, who is 5, hiked around and shot all 3 courses no problem... they're both hooked now...
the fam.. including my father in law Al, who is a bad a$$ archer himself..
this was a par 2 shot, similar to archery golf, where you had to fire 2 arrows at a really far target and try and lay up to it... if you went past it, your arrows are nil and don't count...
stingray(nick) and his wife came by and hung out for a few hours.. that was cool.. thanks again nick.. i'm glad you made it.. that is a pretty wild bunch we hang with..
the misses rocked.. you would have never thought by looking at her pro form, that it was her first shoot...
BOOMSTICK and our buddy mike(a.k.a. BLUENOTE)
i did notice that i only took this one knife pic... these were my companions for that past 4 days... LANDI MPS and benchmade mini-griptillian..
more to come..
