Here is one forged from 1084 and differentially heat treated. File work on the spine. Half tang design. Hickory for the handle and embellished with a rawhide and hemp cord wrap, file work and brass tacks. Lightly aged.

O.A.L. 9 7/8 ins.
Blade Length: 5 9/16 ins.
Blade width: 1 1/16 ins.
Spine: .142 ins.
Handle length: 4 5/16 ins.

Shown with left handed sheath. A right handed sheath can be made if desired.

stu i really dug that one, pray tell how did you age that 1084 i have some i got from mace, and im itchin to do that!! awesome work!

Kevin, I cold blued it then soak in bleach for 4 to 5 min. Remove from the bleach and wipe out the rust with your fingers and soak again for another 4 or 5. Remove again,rinse and scotch brite it to remove the rust and wet sand with 1000 grit.
