Traditional folders and watches/timepieces

I like that watch! Perfect field style and cathedral hands are always awesome.

Hey... That Schrade is great as well. Are there numbers on the opposite side of the tang? That looks like a good older one so maybe not but I wanted to ask.

The Schrade is a Cut Co. era jack. No #. I see them pop up here and there, but I was very fortunate to get this one.
The Praesidius is the Tom Rice A-11, 38mm auto. Really like it. I have the 42mm cream dial as well, but will probably move it along.

Fortunate for sure! I enjoy hunting for sheepsfoot jacks. No lovely old Schrade cut co ones here though.... Yet... 😁

I've also not heard of Praesidius. Just hit their website. Made in PA (me too) and powered by the nh35 which is a favorite. Definitely something to consider! Love it.

Alox Classic SD, Lanny's Clip, and Vaer R1 for today.

Playing favorites today. Primble, Wrights lambsfoot and a National Watch from the early 1870s (became Elgin national in 1874). The watch movement is private labeled for a jeweler that is right across the river from us. Pretty fun to research this one.

All of the black plastic has long since disintegrated and fallen off both the Casio and the Imperial. I haven’t used a watch since the advent of cell phones, but I may get a battery put in the Casio just to see if it still works. I got it in 1990 or 1991.

I was going through some old pictures, and it looks like the Casio still worked as of 3 1/2 years ago:
