Turtle and a Boker. I've been fooling around with this Boker the past couple days. Rounded the bone slabs, lowered the kick on all of the blades and today I ground out the horribly rounded nail nicks. It's almost done... I keep looking at those bolsters thinking it would look nice to file some grooves in there. Hmm....

Oh boy summer is finally winding down. Darkness comes earlier little by little.... the night time is the right time. I am excited.

I got pretty caught up outside at work today and didn't make it home before the big bulb in the sky went out. These two (and the Lambsfoot not pictured) went through the day with me. Cut up and split a couple more trees that fell, including one old dead silver maple and you bet I saved some of that wood. Even found some nice spalting. Ahhh it's hard to call it work when you get to play with a chainsaw other similar weapons. It was new chain day too.. that thing was ripping through wood.

I was laughing when my whole arm was glowing with the lights off. These Seikos have some crazy lume. Edit: this picture looked a lot brighter. Ye olde phone doesn't seem to want to capture it.

I wonder if I could get some lumibrite for the pen knife too.. in case I drop it at night or something. 😄🤣
