Yup, that is ebony and thank you! I am a fan of the pattern. I really love how the lockback release looks like a coxcomb combined with the Birds Eye rivet (literally in this case) to make it look like a chicken.
My thoughts exactly! I hemmed and hawed over the 5COQS for months, worried that the handle would be too small and the beak would dig into my hand. Worried for nothing and now I have 3 of them. Yup, I went through the same before I ordered mine. This Le Cinq Coqs is the only knife I have from FP, but I can tell you their ebony is very nice from my only example.My thoughts exactly! Thanks, that particular capuchadou is a favorite! They called it studded buffalo horn.
