Gorgeous! I foolishly passed these by when they were available. Glad to see one here!

My first real custom knife! So glad I grabbed one back when he often had them in stock on his site. Thing slices like a laser beam!

A classic Aurillac in juniper

Yours looks quite similar to mine, right down to each dot in the juniper wood scales!

Here are pics of my Aurillac in Juniper too, it was the first French knife I acquired, like the pepper smell too. That and the different shape caught my eye.

That one led to my acquiring a Yssingeau in olive wood and tasteful spine artwork.

Then I wanted a carbon steel blade and got the Pradel which Gary helped tweak the tang to let the blade sit lower than the handle.

Then I wanted a nicer French blade so I obtained a Lombard.

Well it's not 100% French, but these knives have been made by French knife makers for more then a hundred years. A "Navaja" made by Jérôme Latreille.

looks like a key to the nut house, so the inmates can come and go……we all need to let loose and be crazy once and awhile…..nothing too crazy but just live and enjoy the small blessings…..get away and and recharge and relax once and awhile.

Well it's not 100% French, but these knives have been made by French knife makers for more then a hundred years. A "Navaja" made by Jérôme Latreille.

It has the lines of some of the classic Spanish Sevillana models, but without the clasp lock, and that beautiful file work, I'd say it is 100% French awesomeness!
