Traditional friendship

That is a great story, thank you for sharing. The Tinker was my first SAK and is still carried on a regular basis, they really are great little knives.

Excellent, thank you for sharing! It's amazing how these simple knives can bring people together, isn't it? Make sure you tell Henry that he has a whole bunch of fans on the internet now. :)

While I no longer carry a traditional, I always stop by this thread to read such a story.
Thank you for posting!

Wow. What a story. Thanks for sharing. I bet that meant a lot to the old fellow.

Great to read a great story from a faraway place, thanks for taking time to share. There is so much to be learned from Jackknifes stories to bring out the good in life. I have learned to slow down, help others and it makes life great. Amazing how a simple tool as a Case, Buck or SAK knife can bring people together.

Fantastic story!

That is exactly why I spend so much time here.

I think you should make Henry an honorary member and he can post through you by proxy.

The Tinker is my favorite knife. I lose at least one a year. Red, black victronox and Wenger. Use it hard. Nice story, thank you for sharing.

I just realised that he has a case amber stockman, lives in Melbourne and doesn't use the internet. I have to know where he bought it! I'd love to see some Case knives in person, before buying but I never thought there would be any retailers in melbourne who stock them.

Thank you for making an old man's day. I'd like to think of someone being as kindly to my father-in-law. Or in keeping with some of Carl's stories - one of my nephews.

He never mentioned, it was quite old, pocket worn. I'll ask him in my next letter.

Thanks for the wonderful story Sam. The bonding of you and Henry through traditional knives made friends for life. Very heartwarming.
